Fabrics and sewing have always been a part of my life, I remember starting my experiments with needlework by making clothes for my dolls at a very early age.

I come from a family of stitchers - my mum made clothes for all of us and my grandmother started her working life tailoring gentlemens clothes at the age of 14 (as she still reminds me more than 80 years on!) and always made the most fantastic clothes. 

 All the items for sale on my website are made by me in my workroom at my home on the edge of Ilkley Moor. 

If I’m lacking in inspiration I can look out to the moor and, if it’s not raining, I may even don the boots and stride out - the fantastic scenery always helps.
